When a glorious magazine spread begins and ends with horses, you would think I'd pay close attention to its origin. And is beautiful in its own right to boot. But, clearly, I didn't put this one together.
My good friend, John Sampietro, alerted me yesterday morning that my House of Dreams post was actually Veranda's House of Windsor. If being honest, I've flipped through my recent magazines but haven't really studied them. I like to save that for a day when I can carve out a block of hours and really dive in. Nonetheless, John's message brought this to my attention and I began to wonder, "Why did I react to this house in its bare state?".
Click here to review House of Dreams post. Below are images of the showhouse decorated by designers that are the best of the best. I think I've finally decided that this house, architecturally, is beautiful in its simplicity. And, the exterior, I loved as much as the interior. Thus my strong reaction. I'm dying to know which set of images you prefer?
Please let me hear from you.
We'll talk soon.

Hi Gwen!
ReplyDeleteMay I pick and choose? Some rooms are too "done" for my taste and too white.
Lovely bones!
I love the 1st image. I could be completely at home there. Love you, sweet & wonderful Gwen...
ReplyDeleteOh, I can totally see this as your dreamhouse - it has your understated and sophisticated style!
ReplyDeleteyour blog does open up directly in google reader, but requires the reader to begin frantically clicking on whatever link they can find to open it up. some times i just move on to the next blog. just an fyi.
ReplyDeleteNeed to add on thing. When you are reading many blogs quickly in reader, I would rather not open up any blog - time consuming and tedious, but rather I want to reach the article and picture directly from google reader. Your method gives the google reader a snippet with no pics ;(
ReplyDeleteMost other blogs do not present their blog in this manner (in google reader).
So many wonderful images to choose from! If I had to choose just one, however, it would have to be the cover photo. I could actually live in that entry (lol).
ReplyDeleteThose columns....those pops of green....I could go on and on and on..... franki
ReplyDeleteCompletely, a fabulous home! My favorite spots are on the patio with the dog and in the barn with the horse.
