Yellow packs a big punch and I love it. Gwen Driscoll Designs is using yellow as a spot of color in a fabulous 2011 project. Enjoy these yellow images as inspiration, on what is here, a gloomy Monday.
The contrast is amazing with black & white.
Love turquoise & yellow together. Charm abounds.
Love this lacquered yellow front door.
Happy yellow is the perfect accent here. Can you imagine what this would look like without it?
Love simple yellow flowers.
This tile is amazing.
This yellow takes this room from gloomy to glorious!

Love this rug made to look like tile. So happy!
Another example of yellow being the accent that makes this room work.

This would be a "Good Morning" wake up call daily.
Simply yellow.

ReplyDeleteEspecially love the yellow and turquoise. My favorite yellow is one that's a tad deeper with just a touch of ochre - then it becomes a versatile neutral that goes with all my favorite colors. What a cheerful way to start an otherwise dreary morning!
ReplyDeleteI love a touch of yellow in accents and you showcased it perfectly. That wedding cake makes me want to get married again (yikes!)
ReplyDeleteA little spot of sunny yellow on a gray day - the best way to cheer up!
ReplyDeleteThe "tile" rug is hands down my favorite. I love yellow in a home! These pics hit the spot. Thanks!

When I was about 12 years old, my mother yielded to my pleas to paint our front door a new color. I picked a bright glossy lemon yellow paint that was intended as a match for John Deere farm machinery. My father was quite surprised when he came home that day, but it remained for the duration of the next eight years they occupied that house. __ The Devoted Classicist, http://tdclassicist.blogspot.com
